Creating a 'Happiness Centre'

Happiness

I saw a few people tagging "happiness" at the conference. If that was any of you, and you'd be interested in chatting more about a SE we're starting up to give people some tools and an experience that helps them start living a better life, get in touch.

People say happiness isn't something you can chase. True, but it's something that can be at the centre of your life's decisions, can guide you to making your life better.

It's things like:

- what kind of job you have ("Does this work truly make me happy, or am I doing it for the money/my save-the-world guilt/because I have nothing better to do?")

- how you live your life ("Do I spend enough time with my friends and family?")

- even the food you eat ("Am I grabbing another chocolate bar because my life feels crap and this makes me feel better?")

The Centre we're starting doesn't claim to have the answers, just some suggestions and starting points for creating a good life, one that doesn't just help you, but helps others. It involves a community of people who know what you're going through and will support you through the changes you decide you want to make.

We're writing the business plan now, getting the funding together. We plan to have several centres spread throughout the UK, so if this sounds like something that appeals to you -- either as someone interested in teaching or facilitating, or as a guest -- get in touch with me at rachel@dogood-design.com.
